Cold

You told me a lie
You said you would'nt do anything
To make me cry
But you did it twice
You are not
As nice
As I thought you were.
You told me a lie
You said you would tell me
If something gave you a bother
But you you did not
I text and I called
But your voicemail was all I got
You were not nice
You treated me worse than a stranger
Your heart was as cold as ice...

Autumn Love

Red,orange, yellow and gold

Not too hot and too cold

That is why out of all

my favorite season is fall

the raindrops make a puddle

it's the perfect weather to cuddle

to sit by the fire

romance and desire

you and your love

next season you'll need hats and gloves

Unforgiven

Ever since you hurt me

I have a hard time trusting you

I keep on thinking that again

You'll make me feel blue

I don't think we can get back to

How we used to be

Maybe the next girl

You'll treat better than you treated me.

I'll be home for Christmas

It was the night before Christmas and Jack Pritz trying his damnedest to get home by morning.
He was a truck driver and he had promised his wife and kids, that he would be home to spend the holiday with them. He was on his way back from a trip to Virginia,it was 10 at night, and he had about 7 hours to go. Traffic was sparse,so he wasn't worried about making it home by the time his kids woke up.

So far the cold wind coming in from the open window and lots of coffee was keeping him awake during his trip, and although there was plenty of cold wind on this freezing December night,he was running low on coffee and he knew he would need to stop before he got home and get more coffee. Normally,Jack would not even be working on the day before such an important holiday, but times had become tough. His wife had become very ill and they had racked up a lot of medical bills, that needed to be paid off.

Out of the corner of his eye,Jack saw a sign for a diner 2 miles up the road. "Whew, good thing." Jack thought, he was feeling himself getting sleepy, and the last ting he wanted to do was crash his truck and not make it home to his family.

About 15 minutes late,Jack was pulling into the dirt parking lot of the diner. He parked his truck, got out,and sat a table close to the door and waited for the waitress to come over and take his order. As he waited,he realized he was hungry and decided he would order a burger. Looking at his watch,he figured he had enough time.

"What can I get for you hon?" The waitress asked

"I'll take a burger with onions and ketchup, and 2 large coffees."

"Coming right up."

Since there was only 2 other people and himself in the diner, his food and coffee came fast. As he was eating and drinking his coffee, a pretty young redhead came walking through the door. She was tall and thin, yet curvy and had ivory skin and smattering of freckles on the apples of her cheeks. She looked his way for only a brief second and briskly walked over to use the payphone. She only used for a minute and then went over and spoke briefly to the waitress and then walked out again.

She stood there in front of the diner now, smoking on a cigarette. Jack loved his wife, but he still enjoyed looking at beautiful women. Her hair was long, thick, and gorgeous. She wore short lavender shorts and a white tank top that showed off her incredible figure. Then suddenly she dropped her cigarette to the ground and came back in through the door. Jack was sure she had seen him ogling her because she smirked at him when she walked by.

Jack finished his burger, and was taking a sip from his coffee when something caught his eye. There in the back of the car,he could see the outline of a man's head and shoulders in the backseat of the car and just as quickly the man was gone.

Puzzled Jack wondered if he was just sleepy and was imagining things. The waitress came with his check and the pretty redhead walked back out the door. He took out a ten dollar bill and put it on the table. Just then he saw the redhead get into the driver's seat of a car, the car with the man in the backseat. The car started,as he walked out and once again he saw a man appear in the backseat.

His mind starting racing, he felt like he was going crazy. Everyone knew the urban legend of the truck driver saving the women from the killer in the backseat, and now it was coming true and happening to him.

He ran to his truck, started the engine, sped off in the direction he had seen the car go off in. It took a couple minutes of driving and then he finally saw the little green of the redhead. He drove up close behind the car,put on his high beams and blared his horn. Instead of pulling over the redhead sped up,he continued to follow her. Just when he would catch up to her,she would speed up. Jack figured she must be frightened, but he had to warn her.

The redhead turned down a bumpy road with potholes and overgrown roots growing on the pavement. The redhead's car was no match for the unkempt road and it ran off the road and into a small ditch. Jack cautiously got out and went over to the car,the redhead got out with a frightened look on her face.

"There is a man in the backseat of your car." Jack quickly explained
"Wha-" The redhead was in such shock she could hardly speak.
"Stay back, I'll get him. " With a tire iron in hand Jack went to the redhead's car and opened the back door and gasped at what he saw.

In the backseat, bound by his hands and feet was indeed a man. The man also had what looked to be a ball gag in his mouth and when he sensed Jack's presence he looked at him his eyes wide with fright.  Jack was about to turn around and ask the redhead what was going on when suddenly a cloth covered his mouth and he was knocked out cold.

After being knocked out for what seemed liked days, Jack finally opened his eyes, but he opened them to darkness. He couldn't figure out where he was and then he heard voices.

"Ma'am we're looking for a missing truck driver named Jack Pritz. His wife reported him missing about 2 days and his truck was found abandoned on a deserted road last night."

"No, I'm sorry he doesn't look familiar."

"Well thank you anyway."

Jack wanted to scream, yell out, or bang on the trunk so someone could hear him but the redhead had given him some drug that paralyzed him and he couldn't move.

He felt the car start up again and he wondered where he was going. Looking back Jack wished he had stopped at another diner, he wished he had ignored the redhead, and he wished he had just went the other way instead of following her and trying to help her. He also wished he was home home with his family, but he knew no matter how hard he wished,he would never make it home again.

Games

Off I ran, hoping you'd chase me
I ran and ran hoping you'd catch me
I turned around though you weren't there
When I got back to home base, I wept at what I saw
You found yourself a new playmate who didn't play games
Now I'm playing a game of solitaire.
